Two specialists of the Russian and Swiss Intellectual Property Rights will present best practices in that field and discuss practical casts with the local start-ups

Event Program

14.30 – 15.00 Christophe Saam, CEO of P&TS will talk about the European and Swiss best practices of the protection of intellectual property rights and will also describe how P&TS helps the start-ups and corporations to protect their intellectual properties.

15.00 – 15.30 Zalina Plieva, manager of the intellectual property rights from lawyers’ bureau RBL will discuss the specificities of the Russian jurisdiction in the sphere of intellectual property rights and patents registration.

15.30 – 16.00 An open discussion will take place with the start-ups about the potential problems, plans and challenges that a start-up could face with regards to the protection of intellectual property rights.

16.00 – 16.30 Group case study analysis with 2-3 leading technological companies.

Christophe Saam

СEO of P&TS EPFL Engineer (Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne) Swiss Patent Attorney and European Judge at the Swiss Federal Patent Court Christophe Saam obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering at the EPFL in 1990. Following a post as Development Engineer for a start-up in the field of photolithography, Christophe Saam worked for four years as an examiner at the European Patent Office (EPO) in Berlin.
